David Popper (1843-1913) was a Bohemian composer. He studied at Prague Conservatory and displayed great musical skills very early on. He was one of the most famous cellists of the 19th century. His '40 Studies for Cello, Op.73 - Hohe Schule des ViolonCellospiel' have become an essential part of the training of cellists. This new revised edition by Xavier Gagnepain, published by Éditions Buissonnières, offers a second voice accompaniment, to better grasp the harmonic framework.
