Our mission statement

Making classical music more accessible by means of new technologies

Digital Music Solutions was cofounded in 2014 by Clothilde Chalot and Hannelore Guittet. The aim was a simple yet ambitious one: to make classical music more accessible to a wider audience. To achieve this goal, Digital Music Solutions created both a record label NoMadMusic (created in 2014) and NomadPlay (online since January 2020).

The Founders

Clothilde Chalot

Co-founder and CEO Clothilde is a member of the Professional Council of the Centre National de Musique, Vice-President of the ESML (Online Music Service Providers Union) and a MEWEM mentor, not to mention a tireless businesswoman whose strategic expertise in the development and management of cultural projects is well-known.

Her extensive experience of the music sector and her remarkable career path make her a much sought-after speaker at conventions on music tech and entrepreneurship.

In 2020, Clothilde was awarded the Business with Attitude prize, which is organised by Madame Figaro and is part of the annual 100 Femmes de Culture list selection.

Hannelore Guittet

Co-founder and Content Manager Hannelore is an enthusiastic violinist, a sound engineer and a recording producer who graduated from the prestigious Paris Conservatoire. Her musical expertise is an essential asset to the growth of NomadPlay.

With over a hundred CDs to her credit, she has had the opportunity to work with renowned artists and record companies (Universal, Naive, ECM, Decca, among others). She is also something of a techie, which means that she is also passionate about the new opportunities for integrating digital technologies and culture.

Renaud Capuçon

An esteemed soloist, teacher, and now also orchestral conductor, Renaud Capuçon has worked with the greatest performers and the most prestigious orchestras in the world.

After testing NomadPlay in April 2019 during the Easter Festival of Aix-en-Provence, Renaud Capuçon was so impressed by the project that he decided to invest capital and become a shareholder of the start-up − something that certainly hasn't happened before in the world of classical music!
