About :There are 24 preludes by Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) which reflects the 24 preludes by Frédéric Chopin. The connection is all the more obvious given that Rachmaninoff's Op.22 is none other than the Variations on a Theme by Chopin, in this case on Chopin's 20th Prelude. The Prelude in C-sHarp minor, Op.3 No.2, was written in 1892 and is probably the best-known prelude of the series.
