About :Jean-Marie Leclair (1697-1764) was a French Violinist and composer of the Baroque period. He is one of the greatest French musicians of the 18th century. Nevertheless, it was as a dancer that he first became known, which was common in France at the time. He was ballet master at the Court of Turin and then returned to Paris where he was appointed at King Louis XV's Music. He produced a large body of work, including numerous sonatas and concertos for Violin.
